Leed Homes Certifications

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) launched a nationwide residential green building pilot program, called LEED for Homes.

LEED for New Construction (LEED-NC) is recognized as the premier rating system for green commercial buildings. The LEED for Homes rating system is targeting the top 25% of homes with best practice environmental features.
The LEED for Homes Rating System assigns points for:
Green features such as energy efficiency
Enhanced indoor air quality
Water efficiency
Sustainable use of materials and land.

Dependent upon on the number of green measures in a home, there are four different levels of LEED for Homes certification: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
